'League's first assist' Hwang In-beom scores offensive point for second straight game



South Korean national soccer team midfielder Hwang In-beom (28), who plays for Feyenoord Rotterdam in the Dutch professional soccer Eredivisie, picked up his first assist of the regular season and his second consecutive game with an offensive point.

Feyenoord won their 2024-2025 Eredivisie Round 9 match against Go Ahead Eagles 5-1 away in Deventer, Netherlands, on Tuesday (Sept. 20).

The win extends Feyenoord's unbeaten run to eight matches (4 wins, 4 draws, 16 points) with their latest two consecutive victories and puts them in third place.

Hwang In-beom, who started in central midfield, played the full match and assisted on Julian Karansa's goal in the 32nd minute of the second half to give his team a 4-0 lead.

Hwang, who scored his debut goal in Round 8 against Tventor on June 6, recorded his first league assist of the season in his first game back from a two-game A-Match absence, cementing his status as a solid first-team resource with two straight games of offensive point production.

Hwang In-Beom will look to continue his three-match hunt for attacking points in the 20204-2025 UEFA Champions League (UCL) League Phase third leg against Benfica (Portugal) on June 24th.
